Sound Off: Who Deserves a 2017 CMA Awards Song of the Year Nomination?
The 2017 CMA Awards nominees are about to be announced, and there's no shortage of great country songs to nominate in top categories this year. What songs would you most like to see nominated for Song of the Year this year?
Little Big Town are no strangers to this category, and it's not hard to predict they'll grab a nod again this year with "Better Man," one of the biggest hits of the last 12 months. Lady Antebellum seem likely for their feel-good comeback hit "You Look Good," and Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood's collaboration on "The Fighter" seems nod-worthy as well.
Brett Young scored one of the true breakout successes of 2017 with "In Case You Didn't Know," but that's no news to Taste of Country readers. We predicted his success when we chose him as one of our RISERS for 2017, and he gave us an emotional exclusive performance of that hit at the RISERS shoot in February, as well as a jaw-dropping cover of "Hallelujah." Will he score a CMA Song of the Year nomination?

Lauren Alaina, Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris, RaeLynn and Midland are among the other possible 2017 CMA Awards Song of the Year nominees, and we'll be surprised if Miranda Lambert doesn't score a nod for "Tin Man," a stripped-down heartbreak song from her The Weight of These Wings album. Sam Hunt has scored one of the all-time country hits with "Body Like a Back Road," so look for him when the nominations are announced, too.
Which country singer would you like to see nominated for Song of the Year in the 2017 CMA Awards? Vote below as often as once an hour from now until Monday (Sept. 4) at 8AM ET. The top five vote-getters will serve as the fan consensus.
Dustin Lynch, Lauren Alaina and Brothers Osborne are teaming up to announce the 2017 CMA Awards nominees on Monday as part of a special broadcast of Good Morning America. The 2017 CMA Awards will air Wednesday, Nov. 8 on ABC, with Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood coming back to co-host for the tenth time.
