Speculation regarding Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's relationship has gone on for, like, ever...are the longtime couple ever going to get engaged, or what? Shelton added fuel to this ongoing gossip topic Saturday (May 25) when he posted a video to social media with a simple but unexpectedly volatile remark.

In the video, Shelton is playing a goofy game for his Smithworks brand vodka, tossing a ball into giant "cups." He's not playing alone, however. "I'm playing my niece, Madeline, tonight," he casually remarks.

Fans instantly exploded with excited commentary. Because, Shelton was referring to Stefani's niece as his own, and that triggered the idea that there might finally be something official going on here.

"My niece!" many commented, with hearts and smiley faces. "Blake and Gwen are married or he wouldn’t be calling Madeline his niece," another declared.

There's no word on whether the famous couple have, indeed, secretly tied the knot (our guess is not yet, but don't take our word for it!). What everyone does know is that the pair seem to be solidly together and happy as ever, regardless of legal status.

Shelton and Stefani will be working together soon, too. Following Adam Levine's decision to leave his gig on The Voice after 16 seasons, Stefani was chosen to take his place. She'll be joining her boyfriend, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson on the coaches panel for Season 17. She famously met Shelton while coaching The Voice in 2015, and their friendship turned to a romance as they helped each other through their respective divorces.
