Brothers Osborne Filling CMA Fest Hole Left by Chris Stapleton
Brothers Osborne will take the main stage at CMA Fest in Nashville this week. The country duo are filling in a hole in the stage time at Nissan Stadium, left by Chris Stapleton following an injury.
TJ and John Osborne will be performing at 9:30PM on Sunday (June 11). They're a fitting replacement, as the CMA Vocal Duo of the Year have been on tour with Stapleton for his All-American Road Show Tour.
In late May, Stapleton postponed three weeks of shows unexpectedly. Two days later, he revealed why, citing a broken bone and detached tendon as the cause. “After seeing a specialist, I have some information to share. I’m on the road to recovery from a broken bone & a detached tendon in my right index finger,” he wrote in a post at his official website. “The doctor is hopeful that with some physical therapy I will be playing guitar again soon. Right now, I can’t possibly give you guys the show you deserve. I always want to give you my very best.”
Stapleton's All-American Road Show Tour will pick up again in late June, and he has since rescheduled the postponed shows.
