Bucky Covington has found himself a new musical home, as the former 'American Idol' star has signed on with independent label eOne Music Nashville. Covington and the label anticipate release a new full-length album some time next year.

"After getting to know everyone at eOne, they are a perfect fit for me," says Covington in response. "Being a part of eOne is such a great opportunity, and I truly believe it will be a winning combination. I love these guys!"

The first single from the singer, 'Wanna Be That Feeling,' is slated to hit radio after Christmas, but those fans lucky enough to catch Covington in concert have already heard a sneak peek of the song and the new music on the way.

"Folks are just loving it," Covington tells USA Today of the new single.

If all goes as planned, the new album from Covington will hit stores by the first quarter of 2012. In addition to some original tunes, the album will also feature Covington's cover of the Commodores' 1979 pop hit 'Sail On.'

"Coming off 'American Idol,' I love remakes," Covington explains. "We had [hit songwriter] Mac McAnally come in on acoustic and do the fingerpicking. It came out absolutely beautiful."
