Then and Now

In 1995, Darius Rucker was a skinny 29-year-old with a smooth face and an album full of catchy pop-rock songs. Compared to the 'Now' picture, young Darius looks like a teenager. That's not to say time hasn't been good to the 'True Believers' singer. He still lights up a room with a smile, and he's in great shape.

It took some work, but we finally found a good picture of pre-Miranda Blake Shelton without a hat on. Looking back, it may be unfair to say the country singer had a mullet. But his look was more baby rockstar than redneck in this 'Then' picture from 2003.

When Randy Travis' career broke in the early '80s, he was as admired for his big country voice as he was his handsome face. Few will remember him as the cowboy he's dressed as in this 'Then' picture, however. His jacket -- complete with western fringe -- rides just above a six-shooter in this classic photo. While Martina McBride's hairstyle has gone through a few transformations since she debuted in 1992, her welcoming smile has clearly stayed the same. Can you believe it?

One thing is noticeably absent from Shania Twain's 'Then' picture. The famous singer is as fit today as she was at the Billboard Music Awards in 1995, and her hairstyle then could even be worn on red carpets today. But a now 46-year-old Twain is a bit more modest than her 30-year-old version.

If you look back through Willie Nelson's album covers, you'll find he doesn't begin to grow his famous ponytails until 1972 at the earliest. The singer didn't adopt his signature look until the 1975 album 'Red Headed Stranger.' That's 13 years after first appearing on an album jacket for 'And Then I Wrote.' Yes, Willie was once clean-shaven!
