Chase Bryant is one newcomer with an already lengthy resume. The Texas native has opened for Brantley Gilbert, and this summer, he'll hit the road with Tim McGraw, which he's excited about.

This year, the Broken Bow Records singer is also heading back to his home state of Texas for the Academy of Country Music Awards, as is Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex, so Bryant gave him a few tips.

According to the young rising star, it's important to try fried mushrooms with ranch dressing, a Texas tradition, and to spend some time at Six Flags Over Texas ... but you won't see Bryant there.

“I don’t do roller coasters," Bryant explains. "I don’t do roller coasters at all. That’s why I say you should do it and not me.”

The "Little Bit of You" singer admits that he's going to channel his inner Johnny Cash at the ACMs this year. He's always well dressed, and the event will be no exception. He plays to wear primarily black from head to toe.

Braynt's year will continue to get even more impressive after the ACM Awards, when he will head out with McGraw on the Shotgun Rider tour. He's already met the "Shotgun Rider" star a few times and only has positives to say about him.

“He’s a great guy, of course. He asked us to be out on tour with him and man I’m very, very, very excited to be out there," the newcomer says of McGraw. "He’s an icon, of course.”

Bryant is also booked for the 2015 Taste of Country Music Festival.

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 60 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
