A man has died after being fatally shot in the parking lot of Dolly Parton's Stampede in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. The tragedy occurred on Saturday (April 25.)

According to WBIR, officers from the Pigeon Forge Police Department say they responded to calls about a shooting at the dinner theater venue at approximately 7:35PM. There, they found two men in a vehicle in the parking lot.

One man told the officers that his handgun had discharged, hitting the other man in the car.

The victim was transported to LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville, Tenn., where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing, according to police reports.

Dolly Parton has not commented on the tragedy as of Monday morning (April 27.)

Dollly Parton's Stampede is a high-energy dinner theater hot spot, according to Dollywood's website. It promises "a family feast and fantastic show fun for all ages," which includes special effects, horseback riding shows, music and more.

In addition to the Pigeon Forge location, Dolly Parton's Stampede has an outpost in Branson, Mo. Also under Parton's dinner theatre show umbrella is the Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Parton launched her Stampede in Pigeon Forge in 1988, originally under the name Dixie Stampede.
