Funeral services for the late Ferlin Husky will take place this afternoon in Hendersonville, Tenn., just outside of Nashville. The Country Music Hall of Famer passed away on Thursday, March 17 at age 85, following 30 years of ongoing heart issues.

The funeral service will be officiated by the Rev. Dallas Frazier, who is also a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Frazier was like family to Husky, who penned seven of the singer's charted singles.

The funeral will take place at the First Baptist Church in Hendersonville this afternoon at 2PM CT. Internment will follow at Hendersonville Memorial Gardens. Some of Husky's famous friends will serve as pallbearers during the funeral, including Jean Shepard, Charley Pride, Jimmy Capps, John Conlee, Ray Stevens, Bill Anderson, Frankie Miller, Keith Bilbrey, Eddie Stubbs, Keith Adkinson and Jett Williams.

Husky is survived by seven of his nine children, as well as 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
