After beating cancer twice, Jackie Lee is on the road to recovery and releasing new music. "Comeback" details a man hoping to start things over with an ex. Lee's emotional vocals, accompanied by the song's soaring musical arrangement, will hit punch a listener in a good way.

"We can make a comeback if you come back / We were on top of the world, people wanted what we had / We could have it again, don't you know that / We could make a comeback if you come back," he sings on the chorus.

The infectious chorus sticks around even after the track ends. Not surprisingly, the song's co-writers have several hits among them — "Comeback" was written by Chris Young, Mark Furher, Josh Hoge and Matt McVaney. "So beyond honored this guy cut this song and that it means this much to him... @JackieLeeMusic you are an insane talent," Young shares on Twitter.

Did You Know?: "Comeback" holds special meaning to Lee, as the week he was scheduled to go into the studio to record the song he found an old Post-It note from his mother, who died in 2016 from cancer. The note read: "Your setback is a setup for your comeback," and it is this message that is shown at the start of the video for the song.

"When my mom was going through her battle, she encouraged herself and the rest of my family by writing positive vibes on Post-It notes," Lee shares on Twitter. "She led by example on how to be hopeful in a terrible situation. Earlier this year, my baby brother ended up collecting several of my mom's notes and put them into a shadowbox so we could always hold on to that encouragement. He sent me a picture of it when he was finished and told me to zoom into the center Post-It. One of her last notes said, 'Your setback is a setup for a comeback.' That same week, I was scheduled to go into the studio to record a song called 'Comeback.' Blows my mind that my mom always knows everything about me and she knows what I need exactly when I need it."

Jackie Lee's Late Mother Helped Him Through Cancer

Jackie Lee's "Comeback" Lyrics:

Six months passed since we both said goodbye / Never thought that I'd run into you here tonight / And I can't help but think your smile's the same as it was back when I saw you everyday / I probably shouldn't say what I'm about to say

Chorus:

We can make a comeback if you come back / We were on top of the world people wanted what we had / We could have it again don't you know that / We could make a comeback if you come back

You haven't stopped me yet so I guess I'll keep going on / Oh and I haven't even deleted your number from my phone / I've been wanting to call you every single day / But I couldn't think of how to phrase everything / So just tell me babe if you feel the same way

Chorus

We can make a comeback / If you just come back

Chorus

Six months passed since we both said goodbye
