Legends past and present came together when Kelsea Ballerini and Reba McEntire teamed up for a beautiful performance of "Legends" at the 2017 CMA Awards.

Co-host Brad Paisley introduced the two, calling Ballerini a "bright young sensation" and referring to McEntire as one of the genre's greatest legends. Ballerini kicked the performance off, standing in front of a spotlight illuminating her silhouette as she sang, stepping away to reveal a gorgeous gold, floor-length dress. The young star beautifully sang the first verse, offering a lovely acoustic performance of the song.

McEntire joined her on verse number two, looking equally as stunning in a glittering black gown. Her voice on point as always, McEntire delivered a humble performance of the track, with her voice blending together seamlessly with Ballerini's. The duo received a well-deserved standing ovation from the packed crowd.

Ballerini is nominated in the category of Female Vocalist of the Year alongside the legend she collaborated with, and Miranda Lambert, fellow rising star Maren Morris and the show's co-host Carrie Underwood. McEntire will present the night's final award for Entertainer of the Year to either Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Eric Church or Chris Stapleton.

The "Fancy" singer's performance with Ballerini is just one of the night's many collaborations. Paisley will sing with Kane Brown, while Morris is set to take the stage with Niall Horan on "Seeing Blind." Dierks Bentley performed a solid rendition of Montgomery Gentry's "My Town" alongside Rascal Flatts, with Edie Montgomery making a surprise appearance wearing a Batman shirt, paying homage to the late Troy Gentry.
