The iconic Kenny Rogers has seen quite a bit during his 72 years on the earth! 'The singer has been active in the music scene for over 50 years, and he's accumulated more than few stories throughout the course of his life. Well, Rogers is now ready to share a clutch of them! He is currently working on writing his very first autobiography, which is scheduled for a fall 2011 release by HarperCollins.

"I must admit, the older I get, the more interesting my life used to be," comments Rogers about penning the autobiography. "I also realized that if I don't do it now, I may forget it all." It's sure to be a fascinating read for Rogers' fans, both casual and die-hard.

In other Rogers news, the singer performed the song 'The Rock of Your Love' from his new gospel album 'The Love of God,' at the 42nd Annual GMA Dove Awards. The show was taped live on Wednesday, April 20 at the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, and will air on Easter Sunday, April 24, at 7PM ET on the Gospel Music Channel.

Rogers is not just a soon-to-be-author and songwriter, either! He is also a photographer, and an 18-month wall calendar showcasing pictures of churches throughout the US and Europe is available for sale exclusively at Cracker Barrel locations. Kenny Rogers is a true Renaissance man, even in his 70s!
