Lady Antebellum Think Luke Bryan Should Be on ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Thanks to a hip-shaking performance at the CMA awards, Luke Bryan caught the attention of fellow country stars Lady Antebellum. Lady A's Charles Kelley voiced his opinion that the 'Drunk on You' singer should be the next country celeb to take the stage on 'Dancing With the Stars.'
At the CMAs, Bryan performed 'Country Girl (Shake It for Me),' with a slew of gorgeous dancers and choreographed moves. The number definitely had the audience moving, but as it turned out, Bryan couldn't help himself from joining in on the fun. Later, when Lady Antebellum was asked about country stars appearing on 'Dancing With the Stars' in an interview, Kelley recalled Bryan's hot dance moves.
"I felt violated," he said, adding that he enjoyed being near Bryan's wife for the performance. "His wife leaned over, and said, 'He's so nasty!'"
Country singers Julianne Hough and Sara Evans have already been contestants on 'DWTS,' and Sugarland and Rascal Flatts have performed their hit songs live for the show. In the past few years, country celebs (and fans!) have definitely taken a stronger interest in the dance-based competition.
We would love to see Luke Bryan step it up and show off his moves for a national audience, but right now, it looks like he doesn't have enough free time on his hands. With his 2011 album 'Tailgates and Tanlines' reaching platinum status this year, he has a large fan base to reach. He'll be touring with Jason Aldean until May 19, and then he heads out for his own summer tour. Check out Bryan's website to find out if he's coming to a city near you this summer.
