Lee Brice is gearing up for tonight's Academy of Country Music Awards, but this year the show is a little sweeter for the singer. While it's not his first ACM ceremony, it is his first as a nominated artist. Brice is nominated for three awards: Single of the Year (nominated twice as artist and producer) and Song of the Year, and all three are nods for his smash hit, 'Love Like Crazy.'

"It’s unbelievable to be nominated for something like that," Brice tells Taste of Country. "I remember watching the ACMs for years. When I’ve been going to them for the past few years, and seeing my peers getting awards and being nominated, I’m always so proud. I’m always so proud, so this year to be part of it is such an honor ... not to mention my seats will be a little bit closer [laughs]!"

When Brice received the news that he had three nominations for the ACMs, he was out on the road. "I was in California," remembers Brice, who received the phone call from his manager. "I guess her time it was 8AM, which made it 5AM my time! I get a call, and it’s still dark outside. I go, ‘What in the world? Why is she calling me?’ All I hear is my manager on the other line screaming about the nominations. I was like, ‘Oh my goodness! OK … that is exciting ... but I’m going back to bed. I’ll scream later when I’m awake [laughs]!"

Tune in to the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards tonight live from Las Vegas to see if Brice walks away a winner. His current single, 'Beautiful Every Time,' is currently climbing the country singles chart.
