Lindsay Ell Shares Tearful Reaction to ACM Awards Nomination
Lindsay Ell had a very emotional celebration after getting news that she was nominated in the 2019 ACM Awards, and she shared it with her fans via social media.
Ell is up for New Female Artist of the Year, facing off against Carly Pearce, Ashley McBryde and Danielle Bradbery. In the video above, Ell announces that she's just signed a new publishing deal and that she is headed off to get her picture taken to announce the news. The screen then reads, "Little did she know ...," and when she gets off the elevator, she's greeted by her entire team for a celebration of the ACM news.
Ell gets tearful, saying, "I can't thank you enough for being beside me for seven years." Her team also express their gratitude about getting to work with her, and the genuine feeling of warmth between them is clear. She ends the video popping the cork on a champagne bottle.
Ell also took the stage on Feb. 15 as part of the 2019 CRS New Faces of Country Music show, giving the standout performance of the evening alongside Russell Dickerson, Jimmie Allen, Lanco and Dylan Scott
The 2019 ACM Awards are set to broadcast live on CBS on Sunday, April 7, hosted by Reba McEntire.
