Chris Young put a fourth song in the Showdown Hall of Fame earlier this week. 'Lonely Eyes' easily topped Brett Eldredge's 'Mean to Me' meaning two brand new songs will square off on Wednesday and Thursday. Two artists looking for their first hit will do battle with songs already catching on at country radio.

Lindsay Ell's 'Shut Me Up' is a song as feisty as this Canadian-born singer. The break up song comes heavy with anger and electric guitar -- there's no ignoring this country rocker. John King's debut single is a softer country cut. 'Tonight, Tonight' is a feel-good going out song that highlights the Georgia-raised singer's mellifluous vocals.

Listen to clips of both Ell’s and King’s songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Friday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Friday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
