Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd will be getting married soon, and in an interview with Taste of Country Nights' Sam Alex, the "I Could Use a Love Song" singer reveals her no-frills wedding plans.

As Morris explains, since she and Hurd are in the spotlight on a daily basis for their music, she wants her wedding to highlight them as people, not as artists. "Ryan and I are given attention all the time, and I feel like it's a year of us being celebrated because we make music and we had really incredible years," she says. "The wedding ...  I just want it to feel like us the people and not us the artists. We're gonna have some tequila, my dog's gonna be there."

The couple haven't chosen a color scheme or what kind of cake they want yet — Morris admits she's not a wedding person, really. But the idea of a buffet-style dinner? She's all over that, remarking, "food trucks would be awesome."

"For someone who's getting married — I know that sounds weird," she admits. "I want it to feel like a party. I don't want it to be a stuffy, sit-down, plated dinner. No disrespect to people who like that."

"I haven't really decided on cake stuff, I'm not a cake person. I love tiramisu so I might make a tiramisu cake," she adds. "Oysters, things that we like to do. And have all of our close friends and family there to celebrate with us."

One thing that is set in stone: Morris' vision for her wedding dress. As she previously told People, she got her wedding dress inspiration from the short style her mom wore to her own wedding in 1989. The singer sent sketches of her dream gown to one of her favorite designers to make something unique to her.

“She was a badass and had this short wedding dress, so I sent it to this designer that I love," Morris says of her mother. “I was like, ‘If we can do a modern version of my mom’s wedding dress — just dreaming something up really cool, but still throwback with her vibe, I would love to make that happen.’ So I’m just waiting to get sketches back, but I know it’ll be perfect."
