Meghan Linsey Takes a Knee After Singing National Anthem at Tennessee Titans Game [Watch]
After singing the National Anthem at the Tennessee Titans vs. Seattle Seahawks game at Nissan Stadium on Sunday (Sept. 24), Meghan Linsey dropped to one knee in solidarity with NFL players who were protesting the anthem.
The players did not take the field for the song before Sunday's game.
Players kneeling during the National Anthem has become a commonality at NFL games as an act of protest against racial inequality and in favor of social unity. All players from both the Titans and Seahawks participated in the protest, as did several other players across multiple games on Sunday in defiance of President Donald Trump following his comments against such players and coaches during a campaign rally in Alabama.
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, say, ‘Get that son of a b—h off the field right now. Out, you’re fired!’” Trump said while campaigning for for Sen. Luther Strange on Friday (Sept. 22).

The Tennessee Titans issued an official statement about their decision to not be present during the anthem, saying:
As a team, we wanted to be unified in our actions today. The players jointly decided this was the best course of action. As a team, we wanted to be unified in our actions today. The players jointly decided this was the best course of action.
