Miranda Lambert says that although her new husband Blake Shelton recently revealed that she helped him curb his hard-partying ways, she doesn't see any shortage of laughter or fun ahead in their relationship. In fact, Lambert tells Taste of Country that Shelton's zany observations and antics keep her more somber side in check.

"I have always loved Blake's quirky sense of humor!" Lambert says when asked what convinced her he was the guy she wanted to marry. "I can be a serious person, but he has helped me loosen up and have more fun. I think we complement each other in a lot of ways."

Although the newlyweds are clearly country royalty now, Lambert says that they won't let all of the attention and celebrity sidetrack their music careers.

It sure seems that that's the case, as evidenced by Shelton's just-released album 'Red River Blue' that created buzz before it was even available, due to its hot single 'Honey Bee.' Lambert has two albums coming out this year. 'Four the Record,' her solo album, will be released on November 1, and 'Hell on Hells,' the debut album with her side group Pistol Annies, is set for release on August 23.

"Blake and I are music lovers and artists first," Lambert says of keeping celebrity in check. "I believe that no matter what, as long as we stay true to making authentic music, fans will continue to support our efforts."
