Miranda Lambert Signs New Deal With Republic Records, Sets Date for New Music
Miranda Lambert has signed a new deal in advance of her upcoming new music. The country superstar has signed with Republic Records in partnership with Big Loud, and she has a new song titled "Wranglers" set to drop on May 3.
Lambert announced she was leaving her longtime label home at Sony in March of 2023. In a press release Tuesday (April 23), she says she's excited about her new label home with Republic Records and the effect it's had on her forthcoming music.
“Music is and always will be the thing that drives me, but having a new home has given me a hunger I didn’t realize I still had inside me," Lambert says.
Lambert's new song returns to one of her longstanding themes of female empowerment.
“‘Wranglers’ is a tale of a woman taking her power back," she shares. "I think we can all identify with the character in this song, because we have all had a time in our life that we needed to find a way to find our strength and also get a little revenge on someone that did us wrong or hurt us.”
"This song feels like it could be on the same record as ‘Gunpowder & Lead’; it has that same fury," she adds. "I can’t wait to get out there with this new label and this new music… (Republic Records founder and Chairman) Monte Lipman and his team fire me up!”

Lipman is equally excited about the new partnership.
“Miranda Lambert’s legacy as both a consummate storyteller and legendary performer speaks for itself," he states. "Her new music is spectacular and we are thrilled and honored to welcome her to Republic Records in partnership with Big Loud."
The seven-time CMA Female Vocalist and five-time ACM Album of the Year winner has just wrapped her long-running Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas, and she's set to perform at the Stagecoach Festival on Saturday (April 27). Lambert is on the road again in 2024, with dates running through September.
"Wranglers" is currently available for pre-add and pre-save. Lambert has not yet announced the details for her next album, which will be her first since her Grammy, ACM and CMA Award-nominated Palomino in 2022.
