We all know Miranda Lambert loves her dogs and her horses. But now it seems the affection is reaching another mammal: absolutely adorable kittens.

The "Smokin' and Drinkin'" singer posted a selfie on Instagram with her new furry four-legged friend, as well as how the cat found its way into Lambert's heart.

"When your friend comes to visit and says "oh by the way I picked up a stray kitten on the highway in Arkansas and it's in the garage". And then she smile's this innocent smile. Guess who has a kitten now?" the country star captioned the photo.

In addition to taking in a new pet of her own this week, Lambert will help homeless animals in Music City find a place to call home this weekend, too. Her charity MuttNation Foundation, a donation-supported organization with the mission to end animal cruelty, neglect, and homelessness, is supporting an adoption drive on the Grand Ole Opry plaza this Saturday (Oct. 3) as part of celebrating the Opry's 90th birthday. Lambert's team will be on site to help abandoned pets find homes of their own at the home of country music.

Lambert just kicked off her headlining Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour, and will be in North Carolina, Virginia and Alabama this upcoming week. On the road with her are  RaeLynnAshley Monroe and Clare Dunn. That trek runs through Oct. 17, when it wraps up in Moline, Ill.

The country superstar is also slated to be back in Nashville next week, when she is scheduled to receive a star on the Music City Walk of Fame this coming Tuesday (Oct. 6).
