Parmalee are busy men! The group has already spent the year on the road with Brad Paisley and now they're gearing up for CMA Fest in Nashville, all while promoting their latest single "Already Callin' You Mine" and working on new music.

Parmalee stopped by the Taste of Country Nights studio to chat about their Top 40 single.

“It’s basically a song about kind of love at first sight or that moment when you change your Facebook status from single to in a relationship," lead vocalist Matt Thomas tells us. "For a lot of people, you meet somebody, you kind of know a lot of times the first time when you meet them you’re like ‘Ok, I’m into this person. I’m going to do what it takes to make this happen.’ That’s what the song’s all about.”

Since they've been out on the road they've gotten a chance to see fans singing their song which they describe as "really cool." They'll have more chances to see fans singing when they play the CMA Music Festival kickoff concert. They seem thrilled to join the festival again.

“This is going to be our fourth year,” they all chime in. “There’s a lot going on! It’s huge. It’s so big. It’s a lot to take in but for a fan it’s great. I mean you just walk down the street and everything is just going on and happening. This city’s electric anyway. It’s so alive and when you bring that festival to town it’s a whole ‘nother level.”

Even though they've been busy and continue to stay busy — they're also working on new music.

“We’re the studio now working on new stuff ... we’ve got eight [songs] so far." Look for Parmalee at Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colo. June 18-21.
