Head reveals what he experienced — and what he prayed for — in the moments after his near-fatal gunshot wound.

The former winner of 'The Voice' thanked first responders, hospital trauma surgeons and anyone who prayed for him between Friday and now.

The singer's wife shared a photo of the shirt he was wearing during his gunshot injury, which shows how close the bullet came to damaging his organs.

Sundance Head was on Team Blake during Season 11 of The Voice in 2016.

'I will never understand the true strength of a woman,' Head said as he shared the news.

Season 13's winner changed names. Season 7's winner just got kicked out of the band. Season 2's winner is now more family man than anything else.

"My old dad Roy Head has went to be with the lord this morning ," Sundance Head shares.

"You don’t have to drive me crazy, I’m close enough to walk," he sings to close each chorus.

Winning doesn't necessarily mean hit songs and fame are on the way.

He had high expectations after he won the show.
