Taylor Swift, who turns 21 this coming Monday, Dec. 13, announced to Access Hollywood recently that she would celebrate the milestone event with a Christmas-themed party.

Many young people her age might focus on the fact that it's their first chance to legally drink alcohol, or perhaps feel some pressure to choose a career or finish college. It's safe to say that Swift, whose new album 'Speak Now' sold over a million copies during its first week on sale, and who will be kicking off a massive world tour to further promote the album in a couple of months, has different concerns on her mind.

It's also a bit ironic that Swift, who has dominated the internet, airwaves and print mediums in recent months, is looking to deflect attention away from herself on her birthday:

"I love having a birthday-themed Christmas party, so people can give each other presents at my birthday party, so it's not so much like ... spotlight! Birthday! Go! Especially since it's my 21st birthday. The 'me' thing to do is have a Christmas party."
