Taylor Swift to Guest Star on ‘New Girl’ Season Finale

If you're a fan of Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and her hilarious trio of male roommates on 'New Girl,' you're in for a real treat when the season finale airs in a few weeks. Fox has confirmed that none other than Taylor Swift will party alongside the sitcom's main character in this season's last episode.

Those up to date on the hilarious sitcom will know that characters on the show have mentioned Swift in several episodes. In fact, earlier this season Jess told her roommate Nick (Jake Johnson) that she just wanted to go into her room and listen to Taylor Swift's music alone after a horrible breakup.

The season finale will air on May 14, and it will include the wedding of Jess' best friend, Cece (Hannah Simone). Swift will guest-star as "Elaine," a very important guest at the ceremony. Since Jess' roommate Schmidt (Max Greenfield) has it bad for Cece, this is sure to be an episode fraught with drama and hilarity.

Even though the country crossover star is in the middle of her 2013 Red Tour, she'll squeeze in time to shoot the episode next week.

Deschanel may be a west coast girl, but she has some connections to country music. Last year, the actress and singer landed the part of Loretta Lynn in the Broadway musical adaptation of 'Coal Miner's Daughter.' In May 2012, Lynn herself invited Deschanel to join her onstage at the Grand Ole Opry.
