The Cadillac Three are set to make their debut on PBS' Front and Center, a concert series that features artists of all genres delivering intimate performances and interviews.

In an exclusive clip from the episode, Jaren Johnston, lead singer of the group, reveals the trio met when they were young teens.

"If you're a musician, or trying to be, that's when you're the most influenced, you're the most inspired," he says, citing Kurt Cobain, ZZ Top, Garth BrooksClint Black and more as early musical influences. He admits that while they are influenced by country music, their sound as a whole leans more toward hard rock. "Between Nirvana and Rage Against the Machine, and you throw a little Lynyrd Skynyrd in there, you got us, that's what we sound like," Johnston says.

Performing in a small club in New York City, the Cadillac Three are set to perform a myriad of their tracks on the program, including "Peace Love and Dixie," "White Lightning" and their signature hit "The South," in addition to songs they've written for other artists including Keith Urban's "Raise Em Up" and "Days of Gold" by Jake Owen.

"These are your real fans a lot of the time, too," Johnston says about performing in an intimate venue. The crowd is heard chanting the signature line from "The South," singing back to the guys, "This is where I was born and this is where I'll die."

Jennifer Nettles will also appear in an episode of Front and Center in 2017, where she'll be joined by Brandy Clark. Pop stars Shawn Mendes and Rob Thomas, Icelandic rock band Kaleo and more acts will also be featured during the show's seventh season.
