‘The Voice’ Knockouts: Keisha Renae vs. Kathrina Feigh
Tonight (Nov. 6), The Voice's Season 13 Knockouts rounds continue. In these rounds, team members are pitted against each other -- however, they don't sing together; each singer is allowed to perform a solo of their own choosing. One member wins, the other loses...and each coach is allowed one steal, should they choose to use it.
Kelly Clarkson -- who is famously tied to another reality show, American Idol -- is on hand to help the teams, which are headed by coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus. Clarkson herself will be a coach when The Voice returns for Season 14 in the spring.
Country fans, of course, have their eyes on Team Blake. This evening, Keisha Renae took on Kathrina Feigh to see who would be going home.
Kathrina Feigh, who was stolen from Hudson by Shelton earlier in the season, chose to tackle the non-country Alicia Keys hit "Girl on Fire." A big song, sung by a vocalist with a huge voice, and Feigh more than handily made the song her own.
Renae went with the classically country "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack, which undoubtedly earned her points with Shelton. She dedicated the song to her young daughter, and weaved and turned around the ups and downs of the scale to very personal effect.
Clarkson seemed especially impressed with Renae, and Shelton praised both singers, calling them "both ridiculous." But in the end? He had to go with Renae. Feigh was not claimed by anyone else and, sadly, was sent packing.
The Voice Season 13 will continue to air on Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.
