Thomas Rhett's Sister In-Law Gives a Cancer Treatment Update
Macy was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year and notified her followers that she was undergoing her first round of chemo on Feb. 10. She has shared a handful of updates over the last few months with the biggest one coming over the weekend.
"The happiest day," she writes on a video compilation of her last treatment. "I'm officially D O N E with chemo!!!!! Those words feel so surreal to say. I know the road ahead is long with surgery and much more than likely radiation, but I have so much peace knowing the Lord has gone before me."
She thanked those who have been with her throughout this process and shared how her walk with God has changed along the way — even expressing gratitude for this season.
"All of this to say, I'm SO grateful. Like beyond grateful for this experience thus far," Macy types. "Cancer has completely changed me and has forced me to rely on God with every ounce of my being."
"I FEEL the Holy Spirit tangibly, and it's a feeling I just can't describe, and one I want EVERYONE to experience. It just gets me so. fired. up."
Thomas Rhett Has Never Shied Away From His Faith
Rhett and his family are strong Christians who hold their faith in open hands — ready to share with the world. The country singer led an entire venue in prayer during a live awards show.
While accepting a trophy at the 10th annual CMT Artists of the Year in 2019, he took a moment to lift Kane Brown up in prayer asking the audience to join him. Brown had lost his drummer in a car accident that week and had broken down earlier in the night while accepting his own award.
Rhett also puts Jesus into his lyrics regularly and has joined Christian artists such as Forrest Frank, Brandon Lake and Chris Tomlin on several faith-based songs.
