7. She has a turtle named Squirt.

There hasn't been much coverage on Squirt since Alaina's run on American Idol ended years ago, but given that turtles can live an incredibly long time, we're assuming that he is "doin' fine." During Alaina's time on the TV singing competition, Squirt had a couple furry siblings as well: Alaina's family had two dogs, a Pomeranian named Bella (who, sadly, died in March 2012 at the age of 17) and a Shih Tzu named Prissy.
