Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani found love on The Voice four years ago when Stefani first appeared as a judge on the hit singing competition. Both are serving as coaches again this season, and they aren't letting their relationship get in the way of competition.

Shelton recently opened up to Entertainment Tonight about the competition that he has with his pop-star girlfriend, saying, "At the end of the day... it's no different than if Gwen and I were playing cards," Shelton said. "She wants to win and I want to win, and that's what they pay us to do on this show, is to try to win."

However, it's different for Stefani when it comes to being pitted against her boyfriend during the production of the show.

"She's not competitive. She'll be the first to tell you," Shelton said. "Right up until it gets competitive and then all of a sudden she [really] is."

Shelton says that getting to work with his girlfriend is bette than working with his longtime frenemy, Adam Levine, who departed the show for the first time since it debuted in 2011.

"I'll take this way over whatever I had with Adam," Shelton said. "I want him to know that he can still kiss my ass wherever he is right now."

Despite Shelton's words for Levine, the two continue to maintain contact regularly through FaceTime.

The Voice airs on Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC at 8PM ET. Shelton also released his latest song "Jesus Got a Tight Grip," which is available to download and stream now.
