Blake Shelton Will Be Forced to Eliminate a Contestant Tonight on ‘The Voice’
Things are getting tougher and tougher as 'The Voice' narrows down its talent, looking for a winner. Blake Shelton (along with fellow coach Christina Aguilera) will be forced to cut one of his four remaining contestants on tonight's quarterfinal round (April 16) as part of an instant elimination, NBC announced Friday.
No one is guaranteed to be safe on Team Blake or Team Xtina, and the stakes just get higher and higher. Next week, Shelton's bromantic partner Adam Levine -- as well as Cee Lo Green -- will be pushed to do the same, as the herds are thinned and they barrel towards Season 2's winner.
The remaining members on Shelton's team are Erin Willett, Jermaine Paul, RaeLynn and Jordis Unga. The singer's team is female dominated at this point, and it will not be an easy choice for him to pare his group down to three. We would not want to be Blake Shelton right about now, since his team is so loaded with undeniable talent. It's going to be a tough night for him.
Shelton will also perform with his team in this episode -- probably the only part of Monday's show he is actually looking forward to. Following the performances, it will be time for him to reveal who goes home.
Good luck to the members of Team Blake. And lots o' luck to Shelton himself, as these eliminations are always so agonizing for the coaches.
