Carrie Underwood is a popular duet partner. She's one of country music's most talented and most versatile vocalists and as a result, dozens (hundreds?) of stars want to sign her up for a song or two on their albums.

She doesn't do many duets, and it's even rarer to find one on her album. In fact of the nine songs listed on this list of the Best Carrie Underwood duets, only two are on her records, and one of those barely qualifies as a duet (sorry Sam Hunt). Willie Nelson and Tony Bennett are two legendary voices she's partnered with, but she's worked with other modern hitmakers as well.

Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert and Brad Paisley are three country stars Underwood has cut duets with. She doesn't sing with many other female stars — Lambert's "Somethin' Bad" is the only all-female collaboration listed — but in fairness, there are far more country men than women right now. And she's still young, so there's still hope for that great Carrie and Dolly song.

Scroll through our list and relive a few Underwood duets you may have forgotten about. We promise one will blow the foam off your cappuccino, and there's sure to be a debate about which duet we chose for No. 1. As always, you're welcome to sound off on your favorite in the comments section below.

    "Heartbeat"

    With Sam Hunt

Underwood and Hunt performed this song together only once, at the 2016 Grammy Awards. The second single from Storyteller found Hunt on harmonies, so it's not a true duet, but his star power merits inclusion on this list.

    "Always On My Mind"

    With Willie Nelson

Underwood joins Nelson for a song on his 2013 album To All the Girls, and it's as good as you're hoping for. Underwood's smooth vocals complement his raspy country delivery. It's sugar and spice and everything nice.

    "The Fighter"

    With Keith Urban

Underwood has actually included very few duet partners on her own albums. Like most on this list, "The Fighter" is found on someone else's project. Keith Urban overcame logistical obstacles to feature the singer on this song from Ripcord (2016). It's as catchy of a song as you'll find and a very non-traditional duet.

    "I'll Be Home for Christmas"

    With Elvis Presley

Underwood and the King? Yes please! Two timeless voices do nothing to cancel one another out. In fact, the song is made even stronger by their pairing. It's a great holiday moment and a great Underwood duet.

    "How Great Thou Art"

    With Vince Gill

In April 2011 the ACM Awards aired ACM Girls Night Out: Superstar Women of Country, and Underwood owned it. This song with Vince Gill was the highlight, and it loses nothing all these years later. Gill adds harmony and guitar — just enough to call it a duet. But Underwood seems to have a direct line to God as she sings her parts. Simply wow!

    "Somethin' Bad"

    With Miranda Lambert

No offense to Urban or anyone else, but Underwood's duet with Miranda Lambert is the biggest moment on this list. "Somethin' Bad" was on a Lambert album, and their onstage collaboration and music video was all sorts of outlaw fun.

    "It Had to Be You"

    With Tony Bennett

Underwood joined Bennett for his Duets II album in 2012 and laid down silky smooth vocals alongside one of the all-time smoothest. Her understated performance is under-appreciated no longer, as it ranks high with us.

    "I Told You So"

    With Randy Travis

Country music's best female vocalist of the last 30 years (arguably) and country music's best male (arguably) team up for "I Told You So," and the result is as good as you hoped. Both singers fall deep into the painful lyric, and their recorded and live performances of this hit were spellbinding.

    "Remind Me"

    With Brad Paisley

How can two people who are so not in a relationship sound so very much like they are? "Remind Me" brought some very PG heat to country radio. Both Underwood and Paisley bring unfamiliar passion to the love song, with the male vocalist matching up nicely with Underwood's soaring vocals. It's an all-time great country duet.
