Chris Young gave fans a sneak peek into one of the new tracks on his upcoming record, I’m Comin’ Over, on Oct. 22, when he posted a video montage set to a clip of “Think of You,” a new duet with Cassadee Pope.

From the sample, the track is an upbeat but emotional breakup song, and Pope and Young’s voices blend seamlessly, creating a warm but powerful vocal performance. The clip shows Pope and Young in the studio recording their individual parts, as well as the whole team conferring in the control room, putting all the pieces together to create the end product.

In just two hours, the clip had more than 3300 likes and counting. It’s clear fans are excited about the collaboration, which will appear on the record due out Nov. 13. Young co-wrote nine of the 11 tracks on the record, and it also features a second collaboration with country icon Vince Gill titled “Sober Saturday Night.” The lead-off single and title track was recently certified gold by the RIAA.

The artist says this album is a bit of a shift for him, but in a good way.

“Making this record, it just feels different,” Young explains. “Nothing changed for the sake of change. It changed because it was the right way to go. This is the first time I’ve co-produced. Half the songs on the record were written by me, Corey (Crowder) and Josh (Hoge). That became the nucleus of this record, and that was really different for me.”

Young is on the accompanying I’m Comin’ Over Tour, which sold out in Europe and took him back across the pond to kick off his U.S. leg in September. He's slated to play Alpharetta, Ga. on Friday night (Oct. 23) with tour mates Clare Dunn and Eric Paslay. The tour continues through December 2015.
