Chris Young is opening a new sports bar in Nashville later this year called Famous Friends, named after his No. 1 hit featuring Kane Brown.

Until now, we only knew the basics that he had shared about the upcoming spot, including the fact that it will offer high-end bar food and signature cocktails.

Young was a guest on Taste of Country Nights, where I asked him to give us an update on the opening of the bar and what is to be expected come opening day

That is where he corrected some existing headlines about the bar, including the fact that it won't be a two-story bar like other outlets have previously reported, and that it won't have a stage for live music, which had also been reported.

"Basically, it is a little different — sort of like counter-programming on my part," Young said. "One of my friends called me and they're like, 'How many stories is it?' I was like, 'One.' They're like, 'Well, how big is it?' I was like, 'It holds like 90 people.'"

Young noted that there will be no stage at the establishment for live entertainment, as it's "a sports bar."

What Memorabilia Will Be on Display at Chris Young's Famous Friends?

In addition to Young memorabilia, he tells me, "I've had other friends give me some of their plaques to put up in there, and there's like some sports memorabilia stuff in there."

The singer thinks the bar turned out "fantastic. I love everybody that works there."

"The chefs are absolutely amazing," he added. "I feel like it's a slap in the face to them to call it elevated bar food."

What Is on the Menu at Chris Young's Famous Friends?

Young revealed that there are a few surprises on the menu, like the "Aww Naw" Impossible burger, which is a plant-based hamburger that is named after his hit song.

Other than that, there is everything you would expect to find to eat and drink at a sports bar, but with its own special flair to make it uniquely Chris Young.

Where Is Chris Young's Famous Friends Bar Located?

Chris Young’s Famous Friends bar is located in Midtown Nashville at 1516A Demonbreun St., just steps away from the popular Tin Roof nightclub.

Country Stars With Their Own Bars + Restaurants

Of all of the side hustles country artists could partake in, opening a bar or restaurant is the most fitting — and very common. After all, many of these stars got their start on a barstool, tip jar nearby, playing their music for anyone who would listen.

These places feel like home for many of these singers. Over the years, several artists have gotten into the bar or restaurant game, and for a select few, brands have turned into franchises with several locations and/or concepts — we're looking at you, Jimmy Buffett!

Let's take a look at the country star food and entertainment venues that have opened over the years.

Every Country Star Bar in Nashville, Ranked by Reviews

Here is every country star bar or restaurant in Nashville, ranked according to their Google reviews. Plus, highlights (or lowlights) from those reviews so you can map your Lower Broadway experience with confidence.

Certain things are true about every country singer's bar in Nashville: The drinks are expensive, they probably don't serve draft beer and you're going to wait for service during peak hours. A few bars go above and beyond at every level, while others ... well, they might consider changes.

The difference between a 4.1-star business and a 4.8-star business is how you treat people (and how little water you put in the drinks).
