Eric Church took the stage for a daring solo performance at the 2019 CMA Music Festival on Friday night (June 7), riveting the crowd with an acoustic medley of his greatest hits.

The country superstar hit the stage all by himself at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, kicking off his solo acoustic set with "Mistress Named Music," which first appeared on Church's Mr. Misunderstood album in 2015. He ran through songs including "Drink in My Hand," "Creepin'," "Springsteen," "Talladega" and "Smoke a Little Smoke" as part of a medley that encompassed more than a dozen of his songs. He also touched on his current single, "Some of It," before reprising "Mistress Named Music" to wrap up his performance.

Church's acoustic solo performance took place just two weeks after the superstar set a new attendance record at Nissan Stadium during the Nashville date of his 2019 Double Down Tour in support of his current album, Desperate Man.

Eric Church Was Blacklisted ... But He Kinda Deserved It

It was one of the highlights of the second night of the 2019 CMA Music Festival. Carrie Underwood provided another show-stopping moment when she brought rock legend Joan Jett to the stage for a joint performance that featured several of Jett's classics, including "I Hate Myself for Loving You," "Bad Reputation" and "I Love Rock 'n' Roll."

Jon Pardi also teamed with Thomas Rhett for "Beer Can't Fix," and Lindsay Ell and Brantley Gilbert performed their collaborative single, "What Happens in a Small Town." Little Big Town, Dan + Shay, Maddie & Tae, Morgan Wallen, Lauren Alaina and more were also among the performers who took the stage Friday evening at the 2019 CMA Music Festival.
