Florida Georgia Line Win Top Country Song at 2017 Billboard Music Awards
Florida Georgia Line took home one of the biggest country awards of the night at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (May 21), winning Top Country Song for their smash hit "H.O.L.Y."
The elated duo hugged each other in their seats before taking the stage to address the crowd.
"I wanna thank the Lord for letting us do what we love day in and day out, making our dreams come true," Tyler Hubbard said. "I want to thank our friend and family. I want to thank my wife that's over in Africa changing the world."
He went on to thank their label, the awards and country music radio.
"I want to thank our fans," Brian Kelley added. "Thank you for giving all of us an amazing life. It's an amazing ride. God is great. Let's keep creating, y'all."
He went on to thank his wife, as well as Big Machine Label Group. "We're super blessed, y'all," Kelley finished.
FGL went into the 2017 Billboard Music Awards as the most-nominated country act, with nods in the categories of Top Duo / Group, Top Country Artist, Top Country Album, Top Country Song and Top Country Collaboration. They are also set to perform with John Legend during the live show, singing their smash hit “H.O.L.Y.” and Legend’s “Surefire.”
