Garth Brooks’ Notre Dame Concert Will Be a Television Special
Garth Brooks is running a primetime special before the year ends. Garth: Live at Notre Dame! will air on Dec. 2 and showcase highlights from his Oct. 20 show at University of Notre Dame.
The concert is the first ever live show to be held at the legendary Notre Dame Stadium.
"After the sellout, I thought it could not get any more exciting than this," Brooks admits. "Then, CBS calls and in an instant, the show becomes bigger. This changes everything."
You've Never Seen "Up Down" Singer Morgan Wallen Like This:
"We have an amazing history with Garth," says Jack Sussman, Executive Vice President, Music, Specials & Live Events at CBS. "We’ve partnered with him at some extraordinary venues: from the enormity of an aircraft carrier, to the intimacy of his one-man show in Las Vegas. Now, we are joining forces to bring viewers Garth at his best: a full blown stadium-sized event for television from renowned Notre Dame Stadium."
But the Country Music Hall of Famer never seems to rest, and Notre Dame is just the tip of the iceberg. On Wednesday (Oct. 17) morning, Brooks revealed that his biggest tour ever — an all-stadium tour — will start in 2019. There will be roughly 10-12 shows per year, with 30 venues on the tour. Tickets for five of the upcoming shows will go on sale before the end of the year.
Brooks' Live at Notre Dame is a two-hour Sunday night event, starting at 8PM ET on Dec. 2.
