Hunter Hayes Is ‘Itching’ to Hit the Road With Taylor Swift

Rising new star Hunter Hayes is starting to get much of the attention he deserves as a singer, songwriter and musician extraordinaire. His current single, 'Storm Warning,' is quickly climbing the country singles chart, and now the 19-year-old is getting his first taste of what life on the road is like, as he looks ahead to a busy summer of touring.

"It's going to be awesome," Hayes tells Taste of Country. "We're going to be busy, but it will be so much fun. I can't wait to get out there and play the music for folks for the first time, and going all over the country, really. It’s going to be nuts, but I literally cannot wait!"

As if hitting the road on his own dates isn't awesome enough, Hayes will be putting the cherry on top starting in July when he hits the road with Taylor Swift on her Speak Now Tour.

"I am really looking forward to the Taylor tour," Hayes says, beaming. "I was looking forward to it before, but we got to go to the first show and kind of meet everybody … hang out with the band and crew, meet her. It was awesome. Now I’m just itching to get out on the road. We’re planning the songs and arranging them, getting a band together. We’re going to do a little bit of an acoustic arrangement of the songs. It will be fun. It’s going to be cool. Her fans are awesome! I loved her show. It was amazing."
