Jason Aldean tried his hand at rapping in country songs and found great success. Colt Ford has made a country career out of it. But they're not the only ones in the genre with the chops to spit rhymes. At a concert in Maryland recently, Jake Owen showed off his skills by rapping the entire 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' theme song.

The 'Alone With You' singer was performing at the Filmore Silver Spring in Silver Spring, Md. when he surprised the crowd with a version of the theme song to the '90s hit television show, before launching into Sublime's 'What I Got,' as seen in the video below.

And as surprising as it is to see a country star rap, it's not too far-fetched. Owen let much of his urban music influence show on his 'Endless Summer' EP release, especially the tune 'Summer Jam' featuring Florida Georgia Line. The singer says it comes naturally, given his love of various forms of music.

"Every day I go to the gym, I put on Spotify, or I'll put on iTunes and see something that came out on the rap chart, and I'll listen to it," he told CMT. "My dad used to get on me when I was a kid, saying, 'I can't believe you support this stuff'" And I was like, 'It's not about that.'"

Owen adds, "Just because Johnny Cash sang that he shot a man in Reno doesn't mean everybody's going to go out and shoot a man in Reno. It's just the way the song makes you feel. 'Folsom Prison Blues' is a singalong song. You just want to sing along to it. I think in today's world, 2012, people can get any kind of music they want, put any kind of song they want in a mix and hit play. And you go from Hank Williams, Jr. to Snoop Dogg. That's how I grew up, listening to all kinds of music."
