Jason Aldean fans may be taken aback by his cold act of violence in this clip from his upcoming film debut 'Sweetwater.' The movie -- which stars Ed Harris, January Jones and Jason Isaacs -- premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January, but this early Taste of Country exclusive is the first time fans nationwide can see him act.

Aldean comes in late, but his presence is definitely felt. He does have a few lines in the movie, but admitted that he wanted to keep his part small, as he wasn't sure if he could in fact act.

“If I was gonna be bad, I wanted to be on the film as least amount of time as possible,” he tells Country 92-5.

The 'Night Train' singer plays Daniel, Isaacs' character's henchman. Isaacs plays a fanatical religious leader who becomes enchanted by a former prostitute (Jones) trying to turn her life around. Harry Potter fans may recognize Isaacs, as he played Lucius Malfoy in the film series.

'Sweetwater' will be released to theaters and video on demand on Oct. 11. The movie takes place in the plains of New Mexico during the late 19th century.
