Even though he didn't appear on last night's episode of 'American Idol,' singer Jayron Weaver, who finished in fourth place on the third season of USA Network's 'Nashville Star,' is going to Hollywood.

The singer was upstreamed to the next round of competition, reports USA Today.

In an interview on the 'Idol' site, the Georgian, whose parents were Southern country Gospel singers, says he cannot remember a time when he hasn’t sung. He sung along with his musical parents at church, and his mother quickly discovered that Weaver had something special.

"She said, 'I heard you singing and I knew there was something different about your voice other than just a regular 2-year-old,'" Weaver says in the video.

As for his favorite performer? Weaver chooses Alison Krauss because of her "angelic voice."

After his stint on 'Nashville Star,' Weaver went on to form a duo dubbed Blue Eyed Grass. Perhaps his next gig will be Season 10's 'American Idol.'
