Jimmie Allen is ready to share his debut album, Mercury Lane.

The up-and-coming star channels the lessons learned from family into the 15-track project, eight of which were co-written by Allen with some of Nashville's top songwriters. Shane McAnally, Natalie Hemby, Casey Beathard, Ash Bowers and more are listed as contributors.

"Best Shot" — Allen's best-known song to date — is included on the project, along with the encouraging "Underdogs" and previously shared tracks "Back of Your Mind," "Warrior" and "21." A new lovesick tune titled "Make Me Want To" was released the day before the album was announced.

Jimmie Allen's Live RISERS Performance Is Irresistible

The album title, Mercury Lane, holds personal resonance for the singer, as it's the name of the street he grew up on in his hometown of Milton, Delaware, where he gained valuable life lessons that helped inspire his music.

“Mercury Lane is where my journey began. All of the fundamental life lessons that shaped my values and make me who I am today, I was taught on that street—its where I learned about love, family, life, how to believe in myself, the concept of never giving up, following your dreams and being a good person,” Allen says of the album's namesake in a press release.

Allen's road to fame was a challenging one. As he revealed in an episode of his documentary Jimmie Allen: All In, he struggled with homelessness for a period of time while trying to break into the industry and lived in his car for almost four months. He released his self-titled EP in 2017 and is signed to Broken Bow Music Group's Stoney Creek Records.

"This album touches on all of those ideals and truly feels like I’m sharing a piece of my heart with the world. I’ve been working toward this moment for so long; I can’t wait to share it with everyone," Allen continues.

Mercury Lane is set to drop on Oct. 12. In the weeks following the album's release, Allen will join Chase Rice across the pond for the Lambs & Lions UK Tour, followed by a stint on Scotty McCreery's Seasons Change Tour before heading out with Kane Brown on a series of dates in February and March of 2019.
