Justin Moore has been in the music industry long enough to know when he sees a superstar. And as far as he is concerned, Cody Johnson is a star.

"Oh God, he's super talented," Moore says of the relative newcomer in a chat with Taste of Country. "I love his new album. I mean, I'm a fan of traditional country music. It's just what I listen to. So yeah, I love Cody's music. I'm just thrilled to have him out here with us."

Moore and Johnson were on the road together this winter, playing shows as part of Moore's headlining tour, so they were able to grow closer by the day.

"I've gotten to know him over the past month being out here with him," the "The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home" singer says. "He's a great person. He often has his wife and kids out on the road with him, and I can just see that he is a great human being."

Turns out Moore has been watching Johnson for quite some time. "He's made such a great foundation for himself for the past 10 years, and now that he has a label behind him, he's definitely got a bright future," the headliner says.

Moore's future isn’t looking too shabby, either — he will release his fifth studio album Late Nights and Longnecks on April 26. "Making an album has you busting your ass for awhile, which is not a bad thing," he says with a hearty laugh. "I'm just excited to get some new music out there for the fans and have a great year of touring."

Johnson's debut mainstream hit is "On My Way to You." The Taste of Country RISERS rising star released his first album on a major label, Ain't Nothin' to It, last month.
