Keith Urban Keeps Promise, Jumps Out of Loretta Lynn’s Birthday Cake [Watch]
Loretta Lynn was one happy birthday girl in Nashville on Monday night (April 1). Keith Urban was among the many stars on hand to help her celebrate her upcoming 87th birthday at a massive tribute concert, and he fulfilled her birthday wish that he jump out of her cake.
Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, George Strait, Urban, Miranda Lambert, Pistol Annies, Alan Jackson, Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, Brandy Clark, Darius Rucker, Little Big Town, Martina McBride and Jack White were among the artists who took the stage at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Monday to pay tribute to Lynn's legendary career with musical performances, and the celebration included a giant cake that rolled out onstage as Cam led the audience in singing "Happy Birthday" to Lynn.
In the video above, Urban emerges from the top of the cake right after they sing, "Happy birthday, Miss Loretta," giving a dramatic flourish with his arms as he helps finish, "Happy birthday to you" to the cheers of the crowd.

It completed a very special night for the country icon.
"I am so excited to celebrate my 87th birthday with all my friends. This is the first time I've ever had a birthday party!" Lynn said in a press release announcing the show in January. "My birthday wish has come true. The only other wish I have is that Keith Urban jumps out of my birthday cake!"
Urban turned to social media afterward to share a special birthday message for Lynn.
Lynn will turn 87 on April 14. She's been on the mend since she suffered a stroke in May 2017, then broke her hip in January 2018.
"I wasn’t going to let it stop me," she tells People. "You just can’t sit down and say ‘Hey, take me.'"
