Country newcomer Kelsea Ballerini has had a good year, and she's decided to pay it forward by making an aspiring country singer-songwriter's dream come true.

Mykal is a 17-year-old who has dreams much bigger than the heart condition that left her in a life-threatening coma. Her doctors' diagnosis was a small chance of survival, she proved them wrong by pulling through with her strength.

Performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage has always been a part of Mykal's big plan. The Make-a-Wish foundation heard of her big dreams and decided to put a plan in action to make them a reality.

Mykal took the stage at the home of country music this past summer to perform a song she composed herself. She played to an audience that included her friends and family, and the Opry made sure to capture the special moment and post it on their social media.

After Mykal finished her once-in-a-lifetime performance she had a special thanks to share through what can only be described as happy tears.

"That was the greatest moment of my life," she proclaimed.

The young artist thought that her night of dreams had concluded when she stepped off the stage, but Make-a-Wish had one more surprise up their sleeve.

When she headed backstage, Mykal's idol, Ballerini, was waiting for her. After being shocked in the best possible way, the two chatted and came together to acoustically play Ballerini's song, "First Time."
