Lauren Alaina arrived in Nashville during CMA Festival week, just 15 days after finishing second to Scotty McCreery on 'American Idol.' The singer had yet to realize how frantic her fans had become in the short time since the show ended. In a "day in the life" segment during Sunday night's 'CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock' broadcast on ABC, Alaina was clearly overwhelmed.

"[I] didn't know anyone was gonna realize who we were when we stepped out," the 15-year-old told cameras as fans screamed for her and McCreery. Viewers followed the friends-only couple to radio interviews, fan meet and greets, the City of Hope celebrity softball game and finally, to LP Field.

"My whole town would fit in that stadium," Alaina said as they drive up. Next she was on stage with Martina McBride, halfway thorough the country great's hit 'Anyway.' They traded vocals, but McBride seemed to be enjoying watching Alaina's emotional reactions to a crowd of 50,000 screaming country fans as much as singing the song herself. From the side of the stage, McCreery watched and smiled.

Last week, Alaina announced her debut album, 'Wildflower,' would be in stores on October 4.
