Lindsay Ell Rocks Out in Warehouse ‘Waiting on You’ Video
Lindsay Ell lets her bluesy-rock influences shine in her "Waiting on You" video, plugging in a colorful Strat and going all-in for the melancholy ballad.
The artist steps to a mic and performs in a warehouse-like setting as scenes alternate between Ell and a guy flipping through vinyl in a '70s-inspired wood-paneled bedroom. Ell’s Liz-Phair vibe is on point as she serenades fans with her guitar prowess and soulful vocals.
"Waiting on You" is the latest single from Ell’s new record, The Project. It’s the first full-length album for the rising star and follows Worth the Wait, the EP that put her on the map. She performed "Waiting on You" on Jimmy Kimmel Live! recently and is currently on the road with Brad Paisley’s Weekend Warrior World Tour alongside Chase Bryant and Dustin Lynch.

Ell was also recently scheduled to perform at a radio station in Sacramento, Calif., but was abruptly removed from the lineup due to her “personal life.” The artist is dating radio host Bobby Bones, who is considered a competitor for the station. Ell did not take kindly to the action.
“It felt like, all of a sudden, you can’t be a powerful female with goals and dreams and date another powerful person. It’s frustrating to me because I feel like it shouldn’t matter what a guy or a girl [does] in their free time — that shouldn’t affect their business,” Ell told the Washington Post about the incident.
Ell also performed on Kimmel Live a new song called “Champagne” and two covers, Lenny Kravitz’ “Are You Gonna Go My Way” and ZZ Top’s “La Grange.” The Project was released on Aug. 11.
