Logan Mize says the song he writes are "simple." In the latest episode of his Road to a Good Time series, the singer-songwriter touched on his easiest-to-relate-to songs (and even does his best Matthew McConaughey impression).

"I'm a pretty simple guy," Mize reveals. "I like to write songs that are very relatable and something that everybody can put into their everyday life." He has one song in particular called "El Camino" that reminds him of a certain character from Dazed and Confused.

"It's kind of about the guy that graduated and never left town and still goes to all the high school parties," he shares, comparing this character to McConaughey in the flick. Then, he pauses to do a pretty spot-on impression before continuing (go ahead and watch, we'll wait).

"It's just kind of a song written from that guy's perspective, you know, still hitting on the high school girls, still he's a greeter at the Walmart," he adds. "It's just a simple, fun song that anybody can get a good laugh out of."

Another one of the songs that he considers pretty simple is the uber-catchy "Can't Get Away From a Good Time" — and he wrote it by "accident."

"I walked into the writing room one day and a friend of mine was pouring Jack Daniels in his coffee. It was like 9:30 in the morning. I was like, 'Dude we gotta write a song. What are you doing?' and he was like, 'I don't know what to tell you. I just can't get away from a good time."

Logan Mize is set to appear at the Taste of Country Music Festival this weekend.
