‘McBee Dynasty’ Star Accuses Girlfriend of Cheating at Stagecoach

The McBee Dynasty’s Steven McBee Jr. and his girlfriend, Allison Eklund, went to Stagecoach over the weekend to enjoy country music. Sadly, their time in Indio, Calif., ended in heartbreak.

On Sunday night, McBee took to his Instagram Stories to share screenshots of direct messages sent to him alleging that Eklund had cheated on him.

According to McBee, he had left the festival early to attend to other responsibilities. Therefore, Eklund was alone with her friends.

“Look, I may be looking into things, but as a friend to you, she seemed really close with a guy,” an unnamed source DM’d McBee on Instagram. “Like not in a respectful way to you or your relationship, unless he’s gay and they were just friends. But holding hands and dancing in front of him at Ludacris.”

In that message, the sender added the Instagram profile of the man who allegedly danced flirtatiously with Eklund.

Drew Dodson is the man’s name, and after a brief scroll through Instagram, he appears to be a social media influencer.

In the second screenshot McBee posted, it showed a video of Eklund and Dodson together. He added text saying that not only did he receive the direct message, but also two calls and a video.

In his last Instagram Story, he wrote a tongue-in-cheek comment over a photo of his gym.

“One person at the gym on a Monday,” he wrote. “The other drunk and cheating at an after-party.”

The next day, McBee woke up to realize what he had posted had gone viral. He made a video to apologize for his earlier post.

“First and foremost, I want to apologize to my family, friends and professional associates who follow me on here,” he began. “Equanimity is not my strong suit, and I shouldn’t have posted about this on social media. I shouldn’t have been the one sharing the screenshots.”

Further on in the video, McBee shared some personal reflections about himself and Eklund.

“I’m not going to bash her, because she’s a really good person,” he continued. “I’m still mind-blown over it. She’s been such a happy-go-lucky, supportive person. I’m not an easy person to date, and I know that. I am extremely type A, have mood swings, and I’m extremely stressed out regarding everything that’s going on. It’s a high-tension environment, and she’s handled it well.”

These actions by his girlfriend were surprising to him, given recent conversations the pair had about the future. By his tone, those conversations had seemed positive, though he admitted he had been nervous to leave Stagecoach early.

“Whenever you have someone who plans their whole life around what festival, what concert, what event, what after-party they could go to … the writing should have been on the wall,” he shared. “You don’t have a housewife — you have a horrible person to try to date and marry and turn into a settled-down woman. For me, I absolutely hate festivals and traveling. I love my family, my farm, my structure, my work, working out, etc.”

It sounds like, in some ways, McBee and Eklund’s lifestyles and desires may not be compatible.

On Monday (April 27), McBee posted another screenshot — a text message between himself, Eklund and her manager.

“I should have done better in that moment,” he wrote. “I do apologize for that.”

How Did Allison Eklund Respond?

Eklund took to her social media Stories on Monday afternoon to share her thoughts.

“This is sad to see, and I’m genuinely at a loss for words,” she began. “Posting everything online before we talked is extremely disheartening and unfair, considering I’ve protected Steven many times during our relationship.”

Eklund not only shared the same video McBee posted on his Instagram, but also the messages he sent her along with it. From the angle shown, there was no inappropriate dancing like McBee described.

“I chose not to respond to him immediately because he has a history of verbally abusing me while he’s in a heightened emotional state, and I felt it was more appropriate to have a private, level-headed conversation once emotions had settled.”

When Did McBee and Eklund Start Dating?

The pair began dating in late 2025 and made their relationship public in early November. They first met through social media and went on their first date shortly after.

There is no confirmation yet on when The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys Season 3 will air. With the McBee family teasing that they have been in production, there is a chance it could arrive this summer or fall.
