It's been a minute since Morgan Wallen has jumped on social media to gives fans a life update, but he seized the opportunity on Wednesday (June 19). In a video shared to his stories, the country singer sits in his car as he shares what he's been up to with his fans.

"What's going on everybody?" he starts with a smile. "I've been in the studio for the past couple days and I was just thinking I haven't been on here to let y'all know or give y'all an update in a long time. So, uh, here I am."

"I've really just been hanging with my kid, making music, golfing, swimming, but mostly just laying low and staying out of trouble," he says in reference to his recent legal troubles.

He then goes on to tell fans that his new song, "Lies, Lies, Lies," will arrive soon, and he shares his excitement for everyone to hear the music he has been working on. Wallen previously posted a photo from the studio with a chef emoji, indicating that he's been cooking up something.

What Was Morgan Wallen Arrested For?

On April 7, 2024 Wallen was arrested on felony charges after he allegedly threw a chair off the rooftop of a bar in downtown Nashville. The bar was Eric Church's newly opened honky-tonk, Chief's.

The "I Had Some Help" singer expressed remorse for his actions on social media after taking some time to reflect.

"I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks," he wrote at the time. "I've touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief's. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility."

Church's bar has since made light of the situation, opting to have fun with their customers. The rooftop now features a sign that reads "DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, YOU ARE NOT MORGAN WALLEN."

Wallen has since opened his own bar, This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen. He is also in the middle of the 2024 run of his One Night at a Time Tour.
