‘Nashville’ Star Clare Bowen Marries Brandon Robert Young
Clare Bowen and Brandon Robert Young tied the knot! The couple married on Saturday (Oct. 21) in a ceremony in Nashville, Us Weekly confirms.
Young proposed to the actress — best known for her role as Scarlett O'Connor on Nashville — after her performance on the Grand Ole Opry in 2015. They decided to wait to make wedding plans in light of her brother's cancer diagnosis that same year. He is now in remission.
In the days leading up to the nuptials, Bowen posted a photo of herself on Instagram in a sparkling gold dress writing, "Be kidnapped #foreverbowenyoung," along with a snap of an adorable unicorn cake to help celebrate the occasion.

The actress also shared a photo of herself hugging her dad at the airport, admitting there that she never saw herself getting married until she met her now-husband.
"Then @brandonrobertyoung turned up and turned everything upside down and this photo is emotional napalm," she says of the sweet moment. She also posted a snapshot of a gorgeous sunrise on the morning of the wedding. "Watching the sunrise. Wearing the blanket I was wrapped in when I was born around my shoulders. Gonna go marry my soulmate now," Bowen describes.
The actress and singer tells the Daily Telegraph that she actually had two weddings, one in her native Australia and in her home city in the U.S.
A fellow singer and musician, Young co-wrote a song titled "Love Steps In" in honor of Bowen's brother's brave battle with cancer. "Brandon came to me one day and said, 'Sweetheart, I'm not even sure if I should play this for you, but it was a song that I had to write. You don't have to sing it if you don't like it.' It was so cathartic for him — in the position of supporting somebody who was in shock of hearing that their brother was so sick — that he had to get it out," she explains to Rolling Stone Country about the song.
The actress is set to return to Nashville when Season 6 airs in January of 2018 on CMT.
